Perfect for our newborn's needs
We've been using this pack n play since our daughter was born nearly 4 months ago, and it's been an invaluable addition to the home. We've kept it in our bedroom so that we could have the baby near before she graduated to her crib. She slept in the newborn napper for the first two months and seemed extremely comfortable in it. When she got too big for the napper, we removed it and had her sleep in the bassinet, which we still use regularly for naps. I remember reading reviews for this product before registering and being a little concerned about a few that claimed that the changing table tilted. Well, our baby is now well over 10 pounds and the changing table remains sturdy and level. I suspect that those who had complaints may have installed the changing table incorrectly -- the piping needs to be inserted properly.

Love the newborn napper!!!
Before deciding on this particular version of the Pack 'n' Play I did alot of research on the other Pack 'n' Plays available. I looked at reviews, dimensions, and most of all, features. I decided to get this playard because of the newborn napper, many people said they especially liked this feature. When I recieved it, it was a little difficult to put together and I would definately recommend setting it up in the room you will be putting it in because it doesn't fit through doorways very well. The most difficult part to assemble was the newborn napper but it was definately worth it! I set up the playard right by my bed and when I had my baby I started using it immediately. It was nice to be able to sit up and reach the changing table right from my bed so I could change his diaper without having to get out of bed. My baby sleeps very well in the newborn napper, it's soft and it's not completely flat which I like. I wrap him up in his blankets and set him down and the material of the newborn napper keeps him swaddled and wrapped up really well making him feel safe. I also really like the vibration setting, there's two different levels and it's comforting to him. The music and the nature sounds are also really nice to have. Overall I would definately purchase this playard again, I haven't used the bassinet part but it will be great to have when my baby is too big for the newborn napper. I have loved using the newborn napper, very glad I chose this one and I would definately recommend it!!

Folds nicely, horrible instruction manual, hooded napper & electronics unit are not great
This unit is a fine pack and play, barring a really poor instruction manual. Also some of the items that makes this a higher-end choice are superfluous.
Good:
- Basic unit folds nicely for travel.
- Nice color / design options (at various stores)
Bad:
- Instruction manual is extremely bad. Each "step" is a couple of words and a bad drawing that usually doesn't make sense.
-Newborn Napper attachment is pretty poor. It is difficult to attach and remove.
-Electronics unit (lights, sounds & vibration) is not really worthwhile. Also, it has small parts.

Napper was the only place our baby would sleep
The napper was the only place our baby would sleep besides our arms. I would say this was the most useful item for us besides a motion monitor that allowed us to get some sleep. Our daughter was born with acid reflex and with milk protein intolerance, so her tummy bothered her all the time. She didn't like sleeping in any of the nappers, swings, bouncy chairs, or sleep positioners (bought and returned a lot of them) and only slept in our arms and the napper. The napper creates about 30 degree angle which helps with digestion and food staying in. Most importantly, our baby loved to sleep on her side so we were able to position her on the side in the napper with a few rolled up blankets in front of and behind her. We were terrified when she outgrew the napper. We also were able to place a motion senser under the napper propped up by a few books. Anything to get 2 hours of sleep without holding her.
The only drawback was that the mattress for using the actual crib bulges up a bit when you put a sheet on it. So it's not a smooth surface. It really bothered the grandma, but it didn't seem to bother the baby. She slept in the pack n' play until about 5 months and was not too happy to transition to hard mattress in her crib afterwards.
We also used the vibration feature all the time, but she didn't care about any music or sounds. The changing table was handy too until she outgrew it. She actually loved the changing table and it was her happies place where she would smile the most and would lay calmly. We never figured out why.

expected better for the money I spent
I purchased this item and was all excited after reading the reviews.
Well after 3 weeks my newborn could not use the newborn napper anymore because it was to short and my baby is average size.
Now she is 7 weeks old and the diaper changer is hanging down on one side...so baby rolls to the side.
Also the diaper changer is an ackward hight so your back hurts like hell.
Other than that it is an okay item ...is a pain in the rear to put together.
Now they have never once where the diaper changer is secured on both sides...i would recommend getting on of those.
I know wish I would have gotten a bassinette instead...sigh

Not useful at all
This pack-n-play does not fit through doorways...so you have to disassemble it every time you move it. I can't believe no one commented on that fact. Unless I just have unusually sized doorways? (I think they're pretty standard). The bag it comes in doesn't have handles, so you have to put it in another larger duffle bag of your own if you want to actually travel with it. The mattress isn't comfortable and sags with my 11 pound infant on it. I'm very disappointed with it. Way too bulky and heavy to travel on airplane anywhere. I am going to invest in a smaller, lighter, travel infant bed instead.

Well Designed
The baby just arrived, and as the grammy, I haven't had the opportunity to actually test the Pack 'n Play yet. It's easy to put up and take down, both because of the design and because the instructions are clear. When put away, it needs a bit more than a square foot of floor space, which makes it convenient to store when not in use. When assembled, the bassinet section is large enough to accommodate a toddler. The Pack 'n Play is both sturdy and portable and seems like a good solution for baby care at grammy's house.

Great Item - Depending on Your Circumstances...
The Graco Pack n' Play Playyard is a wonderful item - depending on your circumstances. If you have a two story home, if you travel by car frequently and stay overnight where no crib is available, or if you baby is small to average size, then this item will be quite useful. If you have a one story home, have access to a crib when visiting friends or relatives, or have a baby who weighed at least nine pounds at birth you may have other uses for your nursery dollars.
The bassinet portion of the pack n' play is somewhat small when the changing table has been installed. It works well for newborns or smaller infants; however, if like my grandson, your baby was nine pounds or more at birth, then you will not get much use out of the bassinet. Since that configuration is safe to use only up to fifteen pounds, this equipment feature was only good for the first three months. As a playyard (or playpen, whichever you prefer), I thought this was far to small to be of much use and would not recommend it to anyone who has the extra funds for a regular sized playyard.
The portable crib feature and the changing table addition are two outstanding aspects of this equipment. The pack n' play fold up fairly compactly and can be taken on driving trips when visiting friends or relatives. Because it is familiar to your infant, the disruption he/she feels may be relieved somewhat and you may find it easier to put your child to sleep. The changing table is convenient and is at a comfortable height for most adults. The pockets which are attached to the changing table are somewhat small and one must refill them fairly frequently.
In my opinion, the mobile which comes with the Brentwood is cheap and does not seem to engage an infant. The little teddy bears are too far away for a young baby's vision and the tan color is not vivid so it does not catch an older child's attention. On the other hand, the color scheme is very sophisticated and will coordinate well with homes which have not succumbed to the nursery-colored everything mindset.
I have rated this five stars because we used it in a two story home and it saved a lot of steps. Further, because my daughter will be traveling to visit relatives, this will be handy since none of them have cribs.
One caveat - the Graco sheets for their pack n' plays are overpriced with respect to their quality. I was able to make my own for significantly less. It takes about 1 yard of fleece or flannel which you will find will be softer and of better quality than the Graco product. A 4 inch pocket on each end and hankerchief hemming the long sides works well. Using sale fabric, I found sheets could be made for about 1/4 the cost of the manufacturer's product.

Awesome product for grandparents!
Purchased this for visits of our new grandbaby. It is working quite well. We are using the mid-level area right now for her sleeping; later the lower level will be better as she grows. Plenty big enough and yet portable, and it has a changing area. It is working well to accommodate several pieces (crib, playpen, changing table) without the associated price!

Great for Nana and Granddaddy
This is our first grand baby sweet little girl, I am disabled Granddaddy so I get to watch her allot. But when we do not it is so easy to take apart or go to the park. Las Vegas is OK some days for the park. The cost was GREAT GET TWO one for Parents and one for Grand Parents.
