The First Years Quick Serve Bottle Warmer

@ From a Real Customer Experience …

I found this bottle warmer very effective for the price, as long as you monitor the temperature closely. My daughter is almost 3 months old now and I use this warmer every night to heat my breat milk. It heats much faster than running hot water over the bottle. I can heat one of my daughters bottles, directly from the fridge, (3-4 ounces) in about 1 minute. This is a great feature when your baby is screaming to eat and you’re half asleep. The only draw back is that I have to stand over the heater and periodically take the bottle out and check the temperature – but not a big deal when it only takes about 60 seconds. In almost 3 months, I’ve only overheated 1 bottle. This has been a life saver with those middle of the night feedings…

Fast, Convenient Heating
The Quick Serve heats any bottle instantly, whether it's straight, angled, wide-necked or disposable (glass bottles, however, should not be used). Once baby starts eating solid foods, you can also use this unit to warm a jar of baby food. An included basket for baby food jars and graduated water droppers keep things neat and organized, while the easy-to-read grid allows for effortless measuring.

Safe Steam Heat
The Quick Serve takes the fear and guesswork out of warming, so you won't have to worry about inconsistent temperatures or the loss of precious nutrients. By utilizing steam heat to warm bottles or jars, this warmer eliminates the possibility of hot spots and unlike microwaves, preserves the nutritional value of the liquids and foods it heats. For added safety, the auto-shut-off button ensures that you never leave the unit on too long or risk overheating milk or baby food.

User-Friendly Design and Operation
The Quick Serve is easy to use--just plug in the unit, add water, slip in the bottle or jar, and press the "on" button. Five minutes later your formula, milk or baby food is warm and ready. If you need to immediately heat another bottle or jar, simply wait 10 minutes to allow the heating element to cool off, and you're ready to go. And for added peace of mind, it also comes with a 90 day limited warranty.

A must-have item
This is one of the best things we were given for our baby. He was in the NICU for an extended period of time and has to have his formula warmed just right, and this product gets it right each time with the bottles we use. We did notice that it warms different bottles differently - Gerber bottles don't warm as well, for instance - but it works great with the Especially For Baby bottles that we picked up at Babies 'R Us. I have seen overheating occasionally but only if we go over the recommended water amount in the warmer. I wouldn't be able to do without this item. Definitely a must-have for anyone who values their time, especially for those middle-of-the-night feeds.

not for everybody
Useless for refrigerated bottles. But excellent for milk already at room temp....Boils 4 ozs in 2 mins.

don't gave that they offered
I selected one star because I can't select a worse option...

The color of the product isn't the same, and the design is totally diferent too.

I'm disappointed with all the product.

It was a real waste of money

A bit to learn, but the best out there
My wife and I pretty much bought into the Avent kit, including the Express warmer. While the Express isn't a bad warmer, I found it to be an inefficient one. However, on a trip to my in-laws, we needed a warmer there and decided to get an inexpensive one for the time we would be there, enter the First Years Quick Serve bottle warmer. For that brief point that we were there, gone were the days of overflowing the warmer with water in a late night/early morning daze. It really is a fantastic warmer, and takes anywhere from less than half to third less water than the express required and warmed the bottles in less time.

Having sung the praises, I will issue a mild warning. The Quick Serve, much like a new born, requires a little patience and common sense to figure out. Getting the water measurements right is a little trial and error, but we managed to have the formula figured within the first few uses. The chart it comes with was a great starting point, and with only minor tweaking we had our own formula for the bottles we used. A little more water for the bottle out of the fridge, and we of course increased the amoutn of water when we upped our son to 9oz from 4oz.

I have seen complaints that it overheats bags or pouches, but that is to be expected, as the thermodynamics of a plastic bag will allow for greater heat transfer than with a bottle. We don't use bags/pouches, and do not know if this device is recomended for warming them, but if it does, I would again think it is a matter of tweaking the formula.

Inexpensive, fast, water efficient, and easy to use, I highly recomend this warmer and I am anxious to swap out my Express with the Quick Serve, as soon as I can at home.

A must have for new-born's parents if mom is pumping
I had to replace it once after 3 months since it stopped working. Hence 4 stars. But amazon replacement process was a breeze.

We have been using it since the day it arrived and it was very difficult to be without it for less than a week while we waited for the replacement to arrive.
