@ From a Real Customer Experience …

If you have to warm up a bottle of milk in the middle of the night, time is of the essence. You are after all only awake because your little woke you up and is now fully awake waiting to be fed. A pot of hot water on the stove simply takes too long.
This machine from Philips Avent warms it up in 2-3 minutes. The best thing is that you can indicate if the bottle came out of the fridge or freezer and how much is in the bottle…

Customer Reviews

Great buy, works great!
After 2 weeks of fatherhood and realizing that the "hold the bottle under hot tap water" wasn't exactly efficient or fun, I read lots of reviews on these bottle warmers. We're EXTREMELY pleased with the Avent iQ warmer, which does exactly as promised at all times. The pattern of button punches a few folks complained about aren't an issue - just requires the user to pay attention. It fits even large bottles (we use Dr. Brown's wide-mouth) just fine, which was my biggest concern, and heats evenly every time. As with all steam-heaters, you have to be careful when grabbing the warmed bottle out of the warmer - just screw on the nipple and all is well.

Great product, we're very happy with it after 2 months of heavy use.

May have IQ in the name, but it's missing the word "Low"
We purchased this product having thought the features side by side most other warmers were impressive. However what is missing from this warming is:

Ease of use

When using any kind of engineered product, it's the subtle differences which count the most.
This warmer loses in these areas:

#1. The buttons are in a bad location. The side of the warmer makes it difficult to use with a baby in one arm. Yes, you can prop it up against a wall, however "propping up" against a wall shouldn't be any kind of work around a device relies on.

#2. The buttons are not intuitive. You need to hold the buttons down to turn it on. This is not obvious at all as most people who would buy any product are not trained to hold buttons down to see their response.

#3. While the steam warming action is a great feature, the need to change the water after every use is not. Turning an electric appliance on it's side, potentially risking a electrical shock every time is impractical.

#4. Finally, the way you set the warmer gives you no indication on how long you have to listen to your crying baby.

I would strongly recommend anybody considering a warmer to get a Dr. Browns warmer instead. It may not be as pretty looking, but it does not have any of the usability issues which I've outlined above.

Avent iQ Bottle Warmer - Great little gem
My wife and I love the fact that it takes the guessing out of the "is it warm enough, or too much". The key to this is choosing the right option for room temp, fridge, or frozen, since it determine how much heated steam to produce for the chosen amount of milk.

Poorly Designed
We got this warmer as many of our other baby products were Avent and we liked how those worked. Unfortunately, this warmer seems to have been designed by people without kids.

While the buttons are easy to understand they're not easy to use. Just to turn the unit on you need to hold a soft button for three seconds. You then select your bottle size and whether the bottle is cold, frozen or room temperature. Finally you need to engage the warmer holding a different button for another 3 seconds.

None of this is rocket science, but just imagine doing this unnecessarily long sequence when holding a crying baby - the unit is light and has recessed plastic-covered buttons that really require you to be eye level with the unit when turning it on.

So despite the unit theoretically being able to get the bottle warm in just 2 or 3 minutes, at this point your baby is screaming under one arm as you are squatting down to be eye level with the unit on the counter while trying to hold various buttons for 3 seconds.

To top this off it doesn't get the bottle warm using the scale on the warmer- selecting 2oz for a 2oz bottle will just result in a cold bottle. You have to do some mental math to figure out how to re-adjust the scale on the spot.

Finally, if the lid isn't on just right, the unit won't activate. So as your baby is now flipping out the warmer won't work despite the unit appearing to be fine.

Technically, it works. In practical terms running a bottle under hot water would be simpler, cheaper and faster.

Love it except why doesn't it remember your last setting?!
I like this warmer which I've used with wide bottles, both avent and playtex (up to 9 oz bottles). It seems to heat everything perfectly as long as you follow the directions and select the proper settings. I'm able to use it easily with one hand but I can see how it might slide for some people. It's easy to use; however, I cannot understand why you can't re-set the default settings. Or why it doesn't automatically remember your last setting. That feature would make it perfect. It's annoying to always be using the same setting but to have to press the buttons like 10 times to get there.
