There are some problems
We got this as a shower gift before our daughter was born. It worked well for a few months and then the on/off button stopped working. We managed to tape a little rubber nub over it to hold it down so it still works, but we have to unplug it to turn it off which is annoying. There also does seem to be a good deal of interference sometimes, and the volume control is not very good. Even on the lowest setting with sound coming out it can be quite loud, we've never turned it above that. We probably would not buy another one, but it has worked well to keep an eye on the kids.

Outstanding!!
We were about to buy just an audio monitor for our baby, and just luckily we got this audio/video one.

The image quality is very nice. Never had an issue with interference from microwaves or cordless phones.

It's being in uninterrupted operation since two months without problems.

Great monitor with great clarity and a good price
This monitor has been reliable, and incredibly useful for keeping an eye on our Toddler as she's sleeping in her room.

The low-light video is excellent and the range of the cameras was more than enough for us, living in a three-floor townhouse.

I will second the comments about signal interference from 900Mhz cordless phones (not mobiles, though).

All in all, an excellent way to keep an eye on little ones without risking waking them up by going into check on them.

GOTTA HAVE IT!!!
We bought THREE video monitors before this one and all they did was make that lovely white noise fuzz sound because they clashed with our wireless music system. This one at 900mz is so quiet you don't know its on until the baby makes a sound. But the volume doesn't go down very quietly and then its just silent or off. So we did put a little tape over the speaker in the back just because we have it RIGHT on our bedside table in my ear. :)

the video is GREAT clarity in light (color) or dark (black and white) rooms! LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! Also, there is a A and B channel so if you have two you want to keep track of you can switch to the other channel (after purchasing another camera of course).

Overall we love it and definitely say its a must have! I also like that the video can be turned off and just the sound left on if you keep it in your room at night.

Buyer beware
My husband went to the store at 2am to buy a generic monitor to replace this one ... we couldn't take the crackling anymore. The reception is TERRIBLE on this, unless your bedroom is right next door to baby's room. Also, the picture on the monitor is pretty mediocre. I wouldn't pay B000XSGJEU for this. I WISH I would have listened to the other reviewers who warned about the bad reception.

baby loves it, then I love it
great product!!! I got this from the baby registry, and I set it up before baby was born. He didn't really enjoy the mobil too much at first. but after 2 month, he enjoyed watching the projector, so I used this many times everyday. He is 8 months now, and he still enjoys this.

Seemed great in theory, but not in practice!
Ours has lasted, we bought it several months ago, after finding out the projection mobile we used for our first child would not attached to the new crib style we have. This mobile projects onto the umbrella canopy. Seems great in theory, but the canopy is blue and has decorations on it, which interfere with the projection images. Also, the mobile has to be perfectly level so the projection fits perfectly within that circle. If we were to remake this, the umbrella part would have some sort of screen on the inside which was WHITE and some sort of leveling mechanism since the sides of many cribs are curved and it can not be mounted level. It does project onto the ceiling (like our original one) but then you cannot have the actual mobile going around, that umbrella part comes off to project to the ceiling. I do like that you have the option to have the mobile, music and light play together or separately, and the music is nice. Our daughter loves it, but the first one we had was infinitely better, she doesn't know what she is missing I guess! This was one of the only ones we could find with straps that fit the crib style, so we had to keep it. I wouldn't buy this for someone else though!

my baby usually loved to look at this. Its easy to install and does the trick. Never put him to sleep though.

Not very Good
I bought it for my baby and it worked for alittle bit and then the mobile stopped working and the projection light stopped working. I called Customer Service for Fisher Price and they said that I could ship it in and they could fix it but I never bothered because it would take 4-6 weeks to get it back. I returned it to the store and it did the same thing. Save your money and just get a regular mobile instead of this one.\

Does what it should
My son is just under 2 months old, but we've used this mobile with him a few times and he loves it. The heartbeat noise is great to get him to sleep longer than he does without any white noise, and the music makes him kick and babble while watching the mobile go round. I like that it also includes a projection *that moves* (a lot of products I saw didn't rotate at all, what good is a static image for babies?). It was really easy to put together, the remote is a great addition to flip it back on from the hallway, and the bright animals are really cute. I've had issues here and there with other Fisher Price products, and their customer service was great, so I feel more secure if it does break at some point. Overall a great product!

Missing size between 49"-59"
The gate states it can fit between sizes 38-53" and uses extensions. Unfortunately you open the gate and find it does not fit the gap between 49"-59" which my measurement was 53" leaving me high and dry. This was a common problem on some of the other baby gates / pet gates. Also the end pieces were missing the rubber stopper on 3 of the 4 ends and the frame was bent inwards so the door was having issues which was more of a shipping issue then the product itself.

Great, buy it, search ends here
Spent hours grueling over which gate to get for our new puppy. Spent a little more money than we wanted too, but we are glad we did! This gate is sturdy and strong, holds our little 30 pound puppy back with no problems even when runs full throttle and jumps up on it. Very easy to install, and the opening gate swings both ways and is a fantastic feature that a lot of gates do not have.

Basically stop searching, pony up the extra cash for this gate, you will be happy with your purchase.

Best for wide area w/o drilling
I looked for a gate for a hallway spanning 50". As you will see in your research there are not a lot of choices, and each of those available had design drawbacks. I needed to keep a new puppy from full access to the house (at least until house-broken). I wanted a temporary solution that could hold-in a puppy, allow a cat to get over, and had a gate. I did not want to drill or put any permanent attachments into the walls.

This gate does the trick! Solidly built. Attractive white finish. Small puppy can't get though. Teenagers can't forget to close the gate as it is self-closing/locking. With a simple push of a button and a light lift the gate easily opens in either direction. The adjustment dials that secure the gate to the walls (2 on top, 2 on bottom) adjust to different lengths, especially handy design for walls with protruding baseboards. There are two additional gate sections that are included to increase the size of the span; I used the larger one and stored the smaller. Gate is secure and effective. The fit has to be tight to have the door secure to its jam (this is a design feature explained in the instructions).

My only small gripe, and one that is more with teenagers who sometimes step over the gate (and in the process bump it out of alignment) rather than going through the door, is that the gate has needed adjustment to properly align the door with the jam so that the locking mechanism self-secures. I have had the gate 3 weeks and adjusted it once so far (loosening the dials, adjusting the frame, and re-tightening the dials). Avoid the stepping-over issue and I think that the gate would be fine after the initial install. We (3 adults, 3 teenagers and a pre-teen) go through the gate dozens of times a day and it has worked fine. Took the cat a week or so to learn that he could jump onto and over it. We will save this gate after the puppy grows for grandkids (no rush). I looked at every other temporary gate and this is hands-down the best. I highly recommend this product.

Just what I was looking for
I searched and searched for a gate that would fit our 47" opening at the top of the stairs. My husband easily installed and adjusted this. Our 4-year old can open it, but I don't see a toddler being able to get it open as it does take a bit of work to hold the button and pull up. I suspect the previous reviewer may have a defective gate if it is that easy to open and close. We have now had it for a month and a half and it still feels sturdy and works great! This gate successfully keeps a baby and larger dog up or down. I like it so much, I actually just ordered another one for the bottom of the stairs.

HORRIBLE!!! DEFECTIVE!!!
I did a lot of research on gates. Obviously I didn't receive good information. This gate arrived WARPED AND DEFECTIVE!!! REGARDLESS of the fact that the instructions say that the gate will "line up" when properly installed... NOT SO!!! I was looking for an extra-wide gate. Thought this might be the answer... DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!
