Amazon.com:
Fisher-Price’s Aquarium-themed baby gear collection receives raves from most parents for offering multiple soothing methods without over-stimulating baby’s senses. The two-position seat on this swing reclines and rotates 90 degrees to rock side to side for newborns, simulating the movement of a cradle. The swing also props up and adjusts to move back and forth, providing comforting motion for older infants. Parents are sure to find a pace that works best to calm their fussy baby from among the swing’s six different speeds. If movement alone doesn’t work, the swing plays eight different songs and three relaxing ocean sounds at the volume level of choice. And, if that still doesn’t do the trick, there is an overhead water globe that catches baby’s eye with its swimming sea creatures and flashing lights or baby can watch the four plush fish encircle overhead on the motorized mobile. A toy tray with an attached bead bar entertains babies during waking hours. The soft seat pad and infant head support cushion baby comfortably and are covered in a fun aquatic fabric that is machine-washable. This swing supports babies that weigh between 0 and 25 pounds and requires four "D" batteries for operation. --Cristina Vaamonde

Sanity Saver
My husband picked this out for our (colicky) son, and I don't know what we would have done without it. I wish we had it for my first kid! It gently (or not so gently if you put it up on the turbo setting... not advised, until the batteries start to die) rocks your baby either front to back or side to side. Sometimes they love it in one direction and sometimes they like it in another direction. The light with the aquarium scene is what keeps them really happy. I've had other swings and my kids hated them. This? WOW... I passed it down to my best friend who had twins about 6 months after me. She would have one baby in the swing while feeding or diapering the other. She used it constantly.
Will it eat batteries? Oh yeah... Will you care? Not really, because you'll be too busy sleeping or relaxing.

Miracle swing
This is the best gift i ever got for baby shower. My little boy LOVES it. He has another swing that has all the bells and whistles but he hates it. This swing immediately puts him to sleep. He also enjoys looking at the mobile and lights above him. The only negative thing about this swing is that the music stays on for a very short time and I have to constantly turn it back on. But that's nothing compared to the time this swing gives me to take showers and tidy up around the house

love it.
2003 owned it but,had no clue few years later would have other baby...I do miss and think I will get other one..it rocks them side to side which is great if you have a baby with reflux like mines does now.
he was born one month ago on mothers day..may 9th 2010.The music is calming and the fishes are cute.I don't like it that is huge and takes up room..if you live in house is good but,in small apt like me is to much.

can't live without it
Our son sleeps so well in it. I will be sad when he's too big for it, which will be soon (8 months old). We use it every day for naps and we change the batteries every couple of months.

Not bad
I live in Uganda and purchased it via the reviews and had it sent via intercompany mail. The power here is sporatic at best, and I was able to easily assemble the unit by candle light. It seems sturdy enough and it will keep my attention-demanding 4-month-old entertained long enough to make a cup of coffee which is huge. It does swing a little fast even in the lowest speed but the directions state to place a blanket over the back to slow it down if necessary. I can't comment on the battery life as we've only been using it for a few days. As far as the noise of the motor, it can make noise at times, but I found a work around. The directions also state to turn it on and give the swing a little push to get 'er going. I've found that if you don't do this, the motor has to work extra hard and it makes noise. The other trick is to let it start on its own to see which way the swing is going, and push the swing in the same directon as pushing the swing the opposite direction the motor is working will result in noise as the motor works to correct the oscillations. It would be nice if music lasted a little longer or had a time adjustment - I think it stops after seven minutes (or something like that). The music and sounds are much more tolerable than some of the other gadgets I purchased at the same time. The only other thing that I think could be be improved is the height, that being it could be a little taller. I can see as my daughter gets heavier that it may be a struggle for Mom to get her in and out, and I think there could be a little more room between the seat and the glowing dome thingy. So far, not disappointed...

Don't waste your money
I bought this bouncer mainly for looks. Don't buy it - the vibrations don't work very well at all and I've changed the batteries it doesn't matter. It looks really cute though! Very disappointed.

bulky design
i'm happy i got this seat as a gift because i wouldn't be happy if i had paid for it myself.
my newborn will sit in this seat for no more than 20mins. the little toy that hangs on it is not very functional and gets in the way most of the time. maybe if the colors were brighter it would be more effective. so most of the time we remove it.
the legs on this thing come out farther than the actual seat so it's not the easiest to move from room to room especially if you have your baby in your arms. and when it's not being used, because its got a bulky shape, it's always sticking out in annoying ways. not the most practical if you have a small place.
3 stars for the 20 minute breaks it gives us.

infant seat
Really nice product. Lime green & brown are a nice combination. Too bad the mobile does not move and you can't attach toys. Good for a newborn.

Stuff for my angel
Overall this is a good and sturdy chair for an infant. It has a lot of features that the babies may or may not enjoy, depending on your child. The only downside is the jiggly dragonfly pole that will fall off if not stuck in the hole securely. Make sure that it is always secure. This chair was the best especially when it comes to your baby not tumbling over in it. I even tried my 20 pound nephew in it and it stayed secure. Good buy!

Problematic Design
I bought this chair because it's kind of unique compared to other bouncy seats, but after 4 months of regular use by my twins, I'm not a huge fan. It's okay. It has 3 soothing vibrations speeds and unique music, but there are a number of problems. The first one is that the arm won't stay in the socket and can fall out onto the baby. Next, the footprint of this chair is quite large, especially compared to other chairs. If you notice from the picture, the feet extend beyond the cushion. What this means is that I trip over it periodically. It's also difficult to move quickly due to this wide design and the fact that the arm falls out. My kids loved the dragonfly hanging toy for several weeks when they were about 2 months. It quickly became old after that. I end up putting other toys in the chair to keep them entertained. Finally, this chair sucks down batteries! Now I know many baby products do, but because the vibrations are so quiet, I end up leaving the chair running without a kid. My other vibrating chairs are louder so I remember to turn them off. They need a light or something to remind you the chair is on. Other than those numerous design issues, the chair seems pretty cozy. The seatbelt mechanism works well and holds a baby at a nice angle. I liked this especially for my son who was so little when born because it held him at a bit of an angle but not so much that he squished down too much like when in a car seat. People talk about how the colors are nice, but I still find it way too busy. I think a "Zen" chair would be one solid color. This still has too many colors and textures to really blend into your decor. While this chair isn't awful, I would suggest a bit more research before you buy. I would also encourage you to see it fully assembled at a store to see if you like the design.

Yes, it's lovely to hold and cradle an infant in your arms -- but even the most dedicated parents need to put the baby down and take a break! This is why we love the idea of a baby swing; we've seen how they provide a comfortable, safe place for an infant, with soothing, rocking motions to help maintain a very important sense of security and calm. If you're familiar with older models of baby swings -- with their creaky mechanical noises and uncomfortable seats -- you should know that the Zen Collection swing definitely takes baby swings to another level.
The swing's seat is designed for infants who cannot yet sit unassisted. Its basket shape provides security and support for the youngest babies, and it can be adjusted to sit the baby up or recline down. A plush seat cover, padded head support, and built-in cover keep baby comfortable. The swing seat can be positioned to move back and forth or from side to side, and it has a speed-control dial to allow for a variety of graduated speed settings. The swing is powered by battery or can be plugged in with the included adapter. It moves in a smooth, quiet motion with minimal mechanical noise. While baby is swinging, he can listen to one of 14 different soothing sounds with adjustable volume, including Muzak-esque remixes of classical favorites and unobtrusive nature sounds, like chirping birds and babbling brooks.
Knowing parents will especially appreciate that the baby seat is removable and portable. So once baby falls asleep in the swing, you don't have to disturb him by removing him from the seat. Just lift the seat out of the swing to carry him with you to different rooms in your home.
It's So Lovely!
A baby swing is not small -- it's basically a piece of furniture. So we're delighted to find that the Zen Collection swing offers a contemporary and sophisticated palette that can complement your home's décor without making your house look like one big nursery. You won't find any frills or pastel colors here. Its contemporary pattern features sprays of leaves and dragonfly silhouettes in stylish tones of cream, chocolate brown, and moss green with ruby-red accents.
Its lovely textural touches include wood-finished handles, satin accents, and embroidered detailing on the cover, as well as on the mobile toys, which are cute and stylish. The toys include two plush dragonflies and a plush turtle, topped with matching umbrellas. It stands on a sturdy, dark brown, metal frame that's heavy enough to provide good support and security. Not only is this swing good looking, it also makes a great choice for unisex decorating.
Easy Assembly, Sturdy Construction
The swing took us less than half an hour to assemble and required only a Phillips screwdriver. One minor problem: we had to re-thread the mobile so it could hang properly. The assembled swing has a 26-by-33-inch footprint and stands 47 inches tall with the mobile attached, so it takes up quite a bit of room. This is something to consider if you have limited living space. However, the base folds together easily, so you can lean it against a wall when it's not in use.

Love this swing!
We absolutely loved this swing for our daughter.
I loved that it wasn't ridiculously bright, nor was it boring pastels. It matched our decor perfectly which was an added plus.
My favorite part of the swing is the fact that the seat detaches so easily to be used as a little seat for the baby. My daughter actually never enjoyed swinging much, but I still have no regrets about getting this swing.
The detachable seat was wonderful; she spent time in it every morning on our bathroom floor while I showered:) So easy to carry the entire seat with her in it, because of the handles on the sides, so no need to take her out of the swing in order to move the seat. I could just carry it around with her sleeping in it to place her next to me as I went about my morning routine.
Absolutely recommend this swing!

A must have!
I had used this swing when I was a nanny for twins and knew it would stand up to the competition!! So, I purchased one for my son and have used it everyday, many hours a day with my son and he LOVES it! It plugs in to the wall, which is a must for any swing.
We had a different Fisher-Price swing (my little lamb) which only used batteries, so we went through batteries every 3 days (even spent the money on rechargable ones and had to recharge every other day!) The motor also started to sound like it was going out after only 1.5 months.
This swing is so comfy looking, I even want to climb in some days and fall fast asleep like my little one does. The music is relaxing, the design is so cool. It seems to take up less floor space than most, but maybe that's just because of the way it is shaped. The open top makes it REALLY easy to put baby in and take out. I love the open top the best! It's nice that the chair is removeable, but to be honest, we have a bouncy seat and don't use this function much.
The only thing I would improve, make the mobile move with a switch (it only moves when you move it) and maybe make the "wrap" blanket sides removeable. Other than that, no complaints and I WON'T be returning this one!! This is a must have for baby!

A must have for the little one
This swing is perhaps the best purchase that has been made for our baby thus far. So far it is the only place we can lay the baby that she does not cry if not in our arms. It has a couple odd things about it, but my wife and I have already decided that this is one item that is not going to be handed down to any other family members so that way any future children will have this as well.
Here is some pro's about the swing:
- The seat on the swing is large and incredibly soft. There is a headrest attached to the seat so if you have a newborn you don't have to worry so much about the baby's head moving side to side. My wife and I don't know what fabric it has in the seat, but we know that we wish we had one for us.
- The seat does allow you to latch the baby in for the more active babies that are out there. We keep the baby latched in because we would feel horrible if something ever happened to her, but I honestly have no clue at this point how a baby would fall out of the seat without a parent knowing what was about to happen.
- The seat is detachable, you don't have to use this as a swing or a cradle, you can use it as a simple chair as well. The base for the chair is extremely solid and not easy to tip. If you want to change the seat from a cradle to a swing you simply have to push a button and lift. No need for any fussing.
- The swing motor is simple to use. It can be battery powered if for some reason you decide to hull this thing with you about town, but it can also use AC power. The controls on the swing are simple enough and the swing motor will stop if you put to much pressure on the seat. So if there is a crying baby and you rush to pick her up, the seat won't go off the other direction with your baby.
- Lastly the music. There are three different music buttons on the swing. One is a nature sounds setting that will soothe you into a sleep if you sit to close, the others are music buttons. From what I can tell they don't have the same songs on any one of the buttons and you can cycle through several different songs per option. In a world of repetitive baby sounds, it is comforting to know that you won't be forced to hear the same song over and over again.
Some of the cons for the swing:
- The motor is a little louder than I would have expected. Don't take this to mean that the motor is so loud you can't have a conversation, it just wasn't what I was expecting. To compare it to something, it seems to be no louder that an old standing clock. It has a sound to it but after the first 10 minutes you won't even hear it anymore.
- The instructions are lacking at best. They tell you how to put things together, but they have a few spots where they say if it isn't working that to turn the piece around and try again.
- It doesn't have much range to the seat. It can lean a little forward or a little back. Its not really a problem for us, but I have seen several other reviewers mention it.
This swing is amazing, the quality is high, and the usability is endless. There will always be good reviews and bad reviews for any product, but this product is truly the best. I don't normally gush over a product, but this is well deserved.

Love This Swing!
Even though baby isn't here just yet, I already love this swing! It took about 20 minutes to put together, and despite the review that the feet can be put on backward, I didn't see how that was possible. Once together, I plugged it into the wall, and it was good to go! It is easy to remove the seat from the swing frame, and it is also easy to turn the seat so that it swings front to back or side to side. The recline doesn't move to much, but it looks like the seat will be comfy for baby. The sounds are great, certainly not irritating like most other baby toys. The seat has a built in blanket, which is very soft. The cover comes off easily and can be machine washed. I'm so glad we got this gift!

Great Swing, Used Daily
We love this swing! My son has been in the 50th percentile for height since birth and is now 6 months old. We still use this swing EVERYDAY! When my son was born, we used it as a bassinet when he would fuss in his crib in the middle of the night. We would detach the chair from the swing and bring it into our bedroom or just move him from his crib to this chair while in his own room, he would stay comfortable in it for hours because it really does cradle him. Now, as a 6 month old he is still comfortable and it will still soothe him to sleep if he is having a rough time. He will stay content in it sleeping, while I do the dishes, or if I just set him down for a minute to go to the bathroom. He now loves to look at the bugs on the mobile. I agree, it would be nice if they moved electronically, but he still loves it. The variety of music is soothing and there are enough songs that after 6 months I am not annoyed by them yet. My son is soothed swinging in either direction, but it is nice to be able to switch him so he can see me if need be. We love that the seat will detach because this seat is more comfortable than his bouncer or bumbo and he will stay happier in it longer than anything else. The biggest perk is that is plugs into the wall. If you do not get this swing, outlet connection is a must-have component of whatever swing you end up getting. I highly recommend this swing to my family and friends. We have loved it and have gotten more use out of it than we ever imagined.
